It's Magic!

Troy has been working on the new high school here in town. They are trying to stay on track so that they can start school on time. This has meant that he is pulling extra hours as well as working most Saturdays, so we haven't seen him quite as much as we would like. But on Friday he came home and announced that he would have the entire weekend off, and we should go somewhere. Lava Hot Springs is pretty close to where we live, and we decided that it would be a great place to go. We got all packed and had planned to go down the river and then go to the pool and try out the water slides. But here's the problem, we told the kids about it. So the next morning we woke up to a downpour. It was raining like crazy. At first we thought we would just go, and maybe the rain would let up, but as we packed the car and checked the weather forecast we decided not to chance it. We told the kids that we weren't going there but Adia wasn't discouraged. She knew just what to do. She went and found her fairy wings and her magic wand (and a princess crown because the outfit just didn't look fabulous enough without it) You are probably guessing that she put a magic spell on the rain and made is stop right? Nope, she put a magic spell on her dad. "Abra-Ca-Dabra Daddy will take me to a water slide" ... So he did... It wasn't what we had expected to do, but eventually he did take her to a water slide. Magic? It looks like it to me...

More details on our fun weekend still to come. It might take a couple of posts, so check back often.
