The sleeping arrangements were strange that night with my dad sleeping in with Ethan and my mom sleeping in Adia's bed with her. My Grandma and Neldon slept over that night too. How fun to have Christmas morning with Grandparents AND great-grandparents right?! Troy and I had a blissful night's sleep with no one kicking us, peeing on us, waking us up for a drink, or needing "to talk". Around 5:30 on Christmas morning I think my Dad had enough of Ethan waking him up, and sent him into our room to get us up. After that we found out that everyone except Adia was already awake anyway, so we woke her up and got the morning started off right. Santa had used the key aunt Cassie and Uncle Levi had given us to come in. He had eaten his cookies, left reindeer milk on the front step, and a stash of presents by the fireplace. He left Ethan a "spider man gun that shoots webs"(The webs come out in the form of your choice of silly string or water) Now I hope that will stop him from looking for spiders to bite him so that he can have webs shoot out of his wrist... time will tell... Santa brought Adia an easy bake oven, and she has been in charge of family home evening treats ever since. The kids also got a whole ton of other great gifts including a guitar, a doll house, doll house furniture, a gun that shoots rubber balls at an eye popping speed, and two really awesome sleds (Post on the sleds yet to come) to name a few things. We played with Christmas presents all day and ate too much food. In the afternoon we went to my grandma and grandpa Fuller's and visited with them. It was great until Ethan tried to "cook" some dried apples on their wood stove and ended up with some nasty burns on his fingers. Oh well, maybe someday he will learn that when mom says "don't touch that, it's hot." she isn't kidding...
The next day we went to visit Uncle Levi's family and Uncle Jeremy's family for a little while. Then Aunt Bobbi, Uncle Jim and Kalista came out to Grandma's house and we made doughnuts and opened even more presents, and ate even more food!
The next day we went to church and then the kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Troy and I came home for a few days to ourselves.
It was a really great Christmas. Thanks to everyone who made our holidays wonderful, and who make our life great all year round!
